Principle Responsibilities:

  • Create test design documentation including test instructions, specifications, drawing, and verification plans
  • Create test requirement documentation including hardware test plans, block diagrams, and interconnect diagrams
  • Create test fixtures to support manual and automated testing of module and system level products
  • Perform operational checkout of systems under test and provide training to test and operations personnel
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing including hands-on debug of test systems
  • Review specifications and requirements and develop designs to best support them including cost as a key design variable
  • Conduct and participate in design reviews
  • Provide ECO Review, Coordination and Implementation tasks and validate changes to existing procedures and equipment
  • Perform DFT analysis of systems, subsystems, and printed circuit boards
  • Perform bring up, validation, and development of new test hardware equipment.
  • Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
  • Work closely with design, software, firmware, test, and manufacturing teams.
  • Technical lead responsible for assigned technical activity and completion of assigned tasks on time and budget
  • Monitor yields and work continuously to improve production test processes by improving quality, manufacturability, delivery, and cost.
  • Has an understanding of Functional Test for both manual and automated test strategies.
  • Has an understanding of Reliability, Run-in, Burn-in, and Environmental Stress Screen (ESS) test techniques and strategies.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally (written and oral) with other company personnel and customers as required
  • Self-Starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to effectively evaluate and train less experienced team members

 

Qualifications:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 6 years engineering experience
  • 8 years equivalent experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • In depth knowledge of NI LabVIEW working on large scale applications
  • Significant experience with a high-level programming language (C/C++, Python, basic, etc.)
  • Experience working with source control systems
  • Experience with Linux a plus
  • SolidWorks or AutoCAD experience
  • PCB Layout experience
  • Avionics experience
